DLF announces collaboration with BHTA

The Disabled Living Foundation (DLF) and the British Healthcare Trades Association (BHTA) are pleased to announce a new joint initiative that will see them collaborating on training courses for the healthcare industry.
The combined team will be working together to develop and deliver a range of industry-specific, high quality training.

The Disabled Living Foundation (DLF) and Designability promoted their new initiative, the Assistive Technology Design Prize 2017, at DLF’s fourth annual Alf Morris Fund for Independent Living reception held at Speaker’s House on Wednesday, 28 June 2017.

The Assistive Technology Design Prize 2017: shortlisting

The Disabled Living Foundation (DLF)​ and Designability recently invited students with original  ideas for products  that will improve the lives of people living with disabilities, long term health conditions or age related impairments with the opportunity to enter The Assistive Technology Design Prize 2017.

Deadline for entries was on 19 June - shortlisting of applications took place yesterday.

Independent living made easier

There are currently 11.6 million people aged 65 or over living in the UK. Many are experiencing what it is like to live with conditions commonly associated with being older, either because it’s happening to them or for someone they are caring for.
