Call our Helpline if you need free, impartial advice about mobility products or other types of daily living equipment for older and disabled people, information on where you can buy or hire items or details of local organisations that can help you.
Our experienced advisors will help you find the solution to your problem.
DLF now operates an 0300 helpline phone number which is cheap to call from both landline and mobile phones. We like to think of our helpline number as being 'fair for all' as a call to the helpline costs the same as a normal landline number (even from a mobile) or may even be completely free if the caller has inclusive minutes.
We regularly survey those who have come to DLF for help and advice:
* 94% said they would recommend DLF to others
* 90% said our information was helpful or very helpful
* 93% said our advice informed them of their choices
Of those who went on to acquire aids to daily living based on our advice, 92% reported increased independence and quality of life through a combination of:
* increased mobility
* reduced risk of falling
* reduced pain
* reduced reliance on carers
What you think...
I called DLF's Helpline as I was finding it difficult to drive following my hip replacement operation. DLF information helped me to decide which mobility scooter was the most suitable for me. Then once I had my scooter, DLF information helped me to find suppliers of suitable clothing to protect me from all weathers - information that I was unable to find anywhere else
