This one day course is presented by experts in both fire evacuation and manual handling, covering all aspects of emergency situations involving people who require assistance. The day will address the assessment and management of assisting people to evacuate premises and look at various methods and equipment that may be used in such situations. Topics will include the relevant legislation, case scenarios, assessment and use of equipment, and will give delegates the opportunity to develop and experience practical answers to problems in an emergency setting.

Course aims:

  • To raise delegates awareness of Fire Regulations and their implications relating to evacuation of people
  • To review other legislation and its impact on evacuating people in the event of a fire
  • To update delegates on equipment available for evacuation
  • To allow delegates to practice handling techniques and use of equipment suitable for evacuation
