These DLF factsheets provide general advice on topics such as features to look for when choosing different items of mobility equipment e.g. wheelchairs, scooters or buggies. However, if you want detailed information on specific types of mobility equipment that can help you, you should contact DLF's Helpline.
You will need Adobe's Acrobat Reader to view these PDFs. Download it free of charge from the Adobe website or, for people with visual disabilities, visit Access Adobe.
What you think...
I called the DLF Helpline as I was finding it difficult to drive following my hip replacement operation. DLF information helped me decide which mobility scooter was most suitable for me. Then once I had my scooter, DLF information helped me to find suppliers of suitable clothing to protect me from all weathers - information that I was unable to find anywhere else.
