Job vacancies

We currently have the following vacancy.

Assistive Technology Occupational Therapist
£35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Based in Wandsworth, London

The Disabled Living Foundation (DLF) provides impartial advice, information and training on assistive technology for independent living. For nearly 50 years we have been helping people deal with the impact of becoming disabled or getting older, enabling them to maintain choice, independence and control over their lives. The DLF works as one of a range of charitable enterprises within the Shaw Trust. Working with us gives you far more benefits than a standard package; it gives you the chance to help turn someone’s life around.

We are looking for a Senior Occupational Therapist (OT) to support people to access the assistive technology that can change their lives positively.

You will have extensive experience as an OT in a health or social care setting at a senior level (Band 6 or 7), as well as the ability to help turn around the lives of people through providing information and guidance on assistive technology. You will also thrive in an environment that encourages you to find new ways to help people. A strong track record of achieving targets, the ability to work well in a team and stay focused under pressure, are also essential.
What we do at Shaw Trust, is exciting, fulfilling and diverse and it’s about to get even better. As well as employment services, we work with kids in schools, help offenders in prisons, and empower people to take part in activities that many of us would take for granted. In November 2014, the DLF merged with Shaw Trust so that the organisation can provide practical advice on assistive technology to disabled people and older people.

To stand-out in this role you need to champion and embrace change and be willing to learn and collaborate with others.

The Trust offers excellent benefits and development opportunities.
