Assessment Tools as Evidence for Manual Handling Practice

This course will familiarise delegates with tools to ensure they have selected the best methods to assist a person with impaired mobility to move or transfer. This will include Rapid Entire Body Assessment, Benner's level of clinical competence, the Functional Independence Measure and methods of assessing patient comfort. The 5th edition of the Guide to the Handling of People chose these methods as a baseline against which to measure various strategies, and recommended their use. Suitable for Manual Handling Advisors and practitioners who deal with complex situations.
