Visit a Demonstration Centre

If you would like to try out items of equipment for yourself under the guidance of a qualified therapist, you can visit the DLF's Equipment Demonstration Centre (EDC). With over 1,000 items on display, the EDC is the largest in the South East.

The EDC now includes a new SmartHome, developed in partnership with the Westminster City Council, Westminster PCT and CityWest Homes. This area of the EDC is designed like a flat and displays the latest technology available to help older people live independently at home.

EDC address

Disabled Living Foundation, 380-384 Harrow Road, London W9 2HU - directions

  • "I married my late husband, who was disabled with multiple sclerosis, when I was 60 years old. I had no experience of care for the disabled in a domestic environment. A few visits to your Equipment Demonstration Centre and advice from your staff gave me the 'crash course' in the information I needed to embark upon this late-in-life marital adventure" - Barbara Van Doren, West London
