We are frequently asked similar questions about disability products and disabled equipment and we provide similar solutions. This section provides some basic information and advice for some of the most common questions asked of us. If you require more information, please check our factsheets, which provide advice on various topics such as choosing a wheelchair, choosing a walk-in bath or shower, how to fit grab rails, and how to make a complaint. Answers to common questions

  • Answers to questions about access issues such as finding an accessible public lavatory or making conversions to your home.
  • Answers to questions related to finding and buying an accessible home.
  • Answers to questions regarding aspects of daily living, e.g. 'I have seen an advertisement for a walk-in bath in my local paper and am considering installing one. Do you have any advice?', 'I am finding it more difficult to manage generally at home. What help is available to me?'
  • Answers to questions about mobility, e.g. "Where can I get a Blue Badge parking permit (previously Orange Badge), and will I be eligible?"
  • Answers to questions about safety devices, monitoring services and alarm systems.
  • Answers to general questions that do not fall into a specific category, e.g. 'Registering as disabled: who should and what are the entitlements?', 'Do I have to pay VAT on equipment?'
