Ways to support us

Promote our services

One of the easiest ways you can help us is simply to spread the word about our work! As a relatively small charity, we do not have the funds for large-scale advertising campaigns like other larger organisations. There are millions of older and disabled people out there who could benefit from our advice - why not help us reach them?

Ways to help

  • Visit your local GP’s surgery, pharmacist or public library and ask them to display a Helpline poster
  • Give a leaflet or fridge magnet to an older relative or neighbour who might find our service helpful
  • If we have helped you or someone you know, write to your local newspaper’s letter page to let them know how we helped and include details of our Helpline number
  • Take a Helpline poster to your local community centre, local advice service for older people or activity club for older people
  • If you are employed, ask your employer if you can promote the DLF’s work to your fellow employees by displaying a poster on your work noticeboard
  • Ask your place of worship if they would display our Helpline poster on their noticeboard

You can obtain marketing materials such as posters and fridge magnets by calling 020 7432 8003 or emailing our marketing department.
