DLF relaunches DLF Data with new design and additional features

22nd September 2010

DLF has relaunched its database of daily living equipment, DLF Data (www.dlf-data.org.uk), with a new user friendly design and new features.

DLF Data is the UK’s only comprehensive database of daily living equipment in the UK. It contains over 14,000 products from 1,600 national suppliers and is continually updated with new products. Thousands of professionals use the database across a wide range of organisations, including Local Authorities, the NHS and disability advice organisations.

The redesign of DLF Data follows extensive market research carried out by DLF’s team of occupational therapists last year to find out how the database was used and which of its features were most important to users. New features added to the new version of DLF Data include:

  • Improved reporting – a clearer layout, improved emailing ability and the inclusion of suppliers standards in reports
  • The ability to easily identify products that have received an MHRA alert
  • Transforming Community Equipment Services TCES National Catalogue codes added to appropriate categories
  • Clearer dimension and feature information in product listings
  • Better navigation to help users find the products they are looking for
  • The ability to browse for products using ISO 9999:2007 classifications
  • A smarter comparison feature which only allows you to compare products when a comparison would be useful (e.g. where dimensions are included)

DLF also recently introduced a new pricing structure which means DLF Data is even more affordable for organisations, with a flat fee of:

  • £495+VAT for unlimited access for all staff in NHS Trusts and Local Authorities
  • £245 + VATfor voluntary sector organisations
  • special pricing for private occupational therapists
  • universities with occupational therapy and related courses can access the database for free

DLF Data is available at www.dlf-data.org.uk. For more information or to subscribe call 020 7432 8003 or email subscriber@dlf.org.uk
