Westminster City Guardian raises funds for DLF

Westminster City Guardian Edward Chapman is raising funds in aid of the Disabled Living Foundation (DLF), a charity based on the Harrow Road where he patrols.
Edward decided to raise funds by running the Sussex half marathon, completing 13 miles.
Edward started working as a City Guardian last September and discovered DLF whilst on his patrol. Impressed with the work that the charity does to help and provide advice to older and disabled people and their carers he decided to raise much needed funds.
Edward commented, “Part of the role of a City Guardian is to interact with the community and therefore it is important I know about local services. DLF runs an Equipment Demonstration Centre on the Harrow Road where people can meet healthcare professionals and receive information and advice on equipment to help with daily living. They are always so helpful and friendly and I wanted to do my bit to help.”
Chris Shaw, DLF's Chief Executive, commented: “I am delighted that Edward has chosen to support DLF both financially and by helping raise awareness of our services in the local community. We work very closely with Westminster City Council and it is great that one of their employees has chosen to support what we do in his own free time.”
